Help Cody Overcome His Accident Trauma

Friends, Family, and Gracious Supporters,

On Monday May 6, 2024 Cody was involved in a serious motorcycle accident (pictures of some of his injuries below). He was headed to meet up with some friends at T-Shotz in North Kansas City. While driving on I-70 in the area of Independence Center, he hit a transition in the pavement, which caused his handle bars to whip against the tank of his motorcycle(this is called the death wobble). This ultimately resulted in him losing control and flying off of the bike, sliding 200 feet across the lanes of traffic and landing on the shoulder. It is a miracle that he is alive and we are so thankful that God was watching over him. He has already had several surgeries and has a long road of recovery ahead of him. His recovery will include more surgeries and extensive physical therapy. Cody has remained in good spirits and is determined to do whatever it takes to achieve full recovery. We are creating this gofundme to help with the continued expenses of medical equipment to aid in his recovery at home. As well as expenses to get to and from rehab appointments, future doctor appointments, surgeries and prescriptions needed. We still aren't sure how long he will be in the hospital or how long the recovery process will take. We appreciate all donations and the continued thoughts and prayers!
