My name is Cody John Bennett. I'm a folk sing-songwriter from the Florida Panhandle. I've attempted many times to record my full length record, Child of the Times, but every time things have fallen through because of financing. Life happens and even between playing gigs and working, I am not able to save the funds I need to get these songs recorded in a professional studio. The costs of quality music production can be quite steep, and crowdfunding is the only way I can cover them. So I'm turning to my community for support to help me raise $8,000 to pay for quality studio time, hiring session musicians, mixing, mastering, distribution, and physical media. I also have to account for the time off of work I'll need to spend in the studio. Any funds left over will be used for marketing, promotion, and planning a regional tour.

This record is over ten years in the making. Eleven songs that I've poured my heart and soul into. If you're a friend or a fan, it would mean the world to me if you'd lend your support in making this vision a reality. These songs mean a lot to me, and I want to make sure they get the treatment they deserve before I release them into the world. I have tons of reservations about asking for money from people to fund my art, especially considering the state of the world, but I'll never forgive myself if I don't try. This project means too much to me.
