Hello, my name is Cody James, and I am trying to raise enough money to pay for my surgery. I have been diagnosed with cancer. I have two nodules one on my chest the size of a quarter and about a half inch thick the other one the size of a nickel about an eighth inch thick and they need to be removed. I am a Dachshund/Beagle mix , a certified and licensed service dog. I have been with my forever home since I was 5 wks. old, I am now 11 going on 12, My mom is 65 yrs. old, on a very tight fixed income. I go everywhere with my mom, I even got to stay in the hospital with her when she was very sick for a week , I make friends everywhere I go .Every one I come in contact with or just passes me by, always says how happy I am and that I'm so full of life. But since my last Dr. appt, when they told us that I have cancer, my mom and dad have been very sad. I have even caught my mommy looking at me with tears in her eyes. And that makes me sad. I know something is wrong with me. Im just not sure why my mommy is sad alot now. My sitter always says that she thinks I am a human. because I know exactly what they are saying and talking about, especially when its about me. I think its funny when my mom says bath time and I run under the bed to hide. So with this being said, I ask to PLEASE help me, Cody James so I can have the surgery and medical attention I need, and my family and I can be happy go lucky again. The surgery itself is $427.00. The reason I am asking for $500 is to help us to get home in a Lyft. We don't have a car and use public transportation (the city bus system). and it takes 3 buses just to get to my vet and three buses just to get home And that makes a very long and exhausting day , we never get home until way after my bed time. I would like to thank all a head of time for your help and time in this hard time my family is going through. Believe me the struggle is real as my mom always says.
