Help Cody Kiska Heal and Get Back on His Feet

Hi, I’m Taylor Kiska creating this gofundme for my brother, Cody. I’ve never had to make one of these before nor did I ever want to, but this is an emergency.

Some backstory… This past month Cody lost his job and decided to go back down to Louisiana from Wisconsin for a few weeks to visit his family and find handyman work to make some money to coast by on while he tries to find a new job back up here in Wisconsin.

On the night of September 30th/early morning of October 1st, Cody was hit by a car while going for a walk in New Orleans.

Luckily there were multiple people on scene and he was able to get help as soon as it happened, but he was still in rough shape. He was in critical condition but was able to get stabilized after getting to the hospital.

His injuries include a punctured lung, broken ribs, broken shoulder blade, and a brain bleed.

He currently does not have insurance due to losing his job, but thankfully the hospital he is at is a nonprofit and should be able to help us on that side. But Cody will need help paying for his rent and other monthly bills… We don’t know how long he will be in the hospital for, and it is too early to tell how much physical therapy he might need after he’s healed and awake.

My family and I are so thankful to anyone who is able to donate and help while Cody heals and gets back on his feet… He is the most hard working guy I know and I love him so much.
