Last weekend my niece’s husband, Cody, had an incidental finding on his head CT after he had an accident on his scooter. After an MRI it was confirmed that Cody had a mass on his brain, and the next day he had brain surgery to remove the mass. We are still waiting on pathology reports, but the neurosurgeon let my niece Skyla and Cody know that the mass looked like glioblastoma (the most aggressive form of brain cancer). Whatever the mass is, the neurosurgeon was certain it is cancerous. Cody is thirty-one years old, he and Skyla have a four and almost one-year-old and have also taken in Skyla’s teenage sister who would have otherwise been placed in foster care. Cody is the sole provider for their family. Both Cody and his family are facing an unimaginable fight, and I am hoping to lessen the stress of what lies ahead. All money you donate will go to helping them survive and also towards medical bills they might incur. They are two of the kindest people I know, and this news has been devastating for all our family. Any help you could give Cody and his family is greatly appreciated.
