Hi everyone,

My name is Katrina, and I’m writing this through tears because my dog Cody is in pain, and I feel completely helpless.

Over the past couple of days, Cody has been dry howling, vomiting, and crying out in a way I’ve never heard from him before. It’s the kind of sound that freezes you—because you can hear the pain in it.

I rushed him to the emergency vet, terrified. They told me he might have pancreatitis, but they couldn’t confirm anything without deeper testing and imaging. They sent him home with Zofran and Gabapentin, hoping to manage the pain and nausea.

He can’t get comfortable.

He looks at me like he’s asking for help—and I can’t explain how heartbreaking that feels.

I need to take him back. I can’t let him keep hurting.

He needs:

More diagnostic testing

Ultrasound or X-rays

Bloodwork

Possible overnight care

But these emergency costs are overwhelming, and I’m doing everything I can—but I can’t do this alone.

Cody is my whole world.

He has been with me through some of the hardest moments of my life—always wagging, always loving, always by my side. He’s the one who curls up next to me when I’m sad, who greets me like I’m the best part of his day, who brings joy into every room he walks into.

Seeing him like this—scared, hurting, and confused—is tearing me apart.

Update:

Cody either ate something funny or swallowed a toy. The vet does not know exactly but whatever it is needs to dislodge from his cecum and come out by itself or he needs surgery and thats an estimated 2-3k! $590 for just A xray!! He's been to the vet 3x now to get fluids and change in medicines. If he doesn't improve in the next 24HR then he has to go back. He finally was able to eat some food and moving better but has yet to have a BM since Friday (Nov 13Th). He is wailing and yelping in pain! If you have ever dealt with this please help!! I know people got a lot of things going on and holidays are coming up if you can donate anything, I would be so grateful.
