I’ve had Cody since he was just 7 weeks old, and now, at 15 years old, he’s been my emotional support, my family, and the love of my life. Over the years, Cody has brought me so much comfort and joy, especially during difficult times. Nine months ago, Cody lost his hearing, but he’s continued to be the same loving companion. Three years ago, he developed a Lipoma—a non-cancerous fatty mass—on the side of his right rear paw. The vet removed it, assuring me the chances of it returning were slim. Unfortunately, it has come back in the same place, and it’s now affecting his paw pad. He also has two additional small masses near each ear. Despite these challenges, Cody still has a good appetite and can walk, though it’s become difficult for him.
Recently, my own circumstances changed. After a breakup, I had to move out and find a new apartment, which depleted my savings. I now receive SSD, but it doesn’t go very far. The cost of Cody’s care is more than I can manage alone. The funds raised will go toward his office visit, blood work to see if he’s a candidate for anesthesia, surgery to remove the masses, aftercare, and medication. I want to give Cody the best chance at a comfortable, happy life in his golden years.
Any financial help you are able to donate will help Cody have a better quality of life and would be much appreciated. Thank you for considering supporting us during this time.
