Hi, my name is Kayla. I’ve created this new go fund me for Cody Gardiner, who has been fighting a battle with cancer. He is the uncle to my 3 daughters, and has been such a big part of our lives. Cody was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) at the young age of 29. He is now 32, and things have taken a turn for the worse. It’s time to think about how to best honor his wishes for the future. The extensive medical costs associated with his long-term illness have left him unable to cover his final expenses. His fiancé Heather and Sister Dakota will be taking on most of the planning and details which they have discussed with Cody in these final days.

Cody is quite the jokester. He's always trying to make people laugh even during the darkest of times. He is a loving stepfather to an 8-year-old son along with 2 adult children and daughter-in-law, a loving brother to his older and younger sibling, and a loving uncle to his 4 nieces.

Unfortunately, cancer runs in many families and Cody's isn't exempt. He watched his mother suffer from this vicious disease as a teenager into his young adult life, eventually losing his only surviving parent. His father died before he was 6, to a losing battle with mental health. Cody still found ways to bring a smile to as many faces as he could. Now with so little family we are asking our friends and reaching out to our community for love and support through this incredibly difficult time.
