Help Cody Fight a Life-Threatening Pituitary Tumor
Donation protected
My name is Violette, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my dear friends Cody and his wife, Jenny. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Jenny for the past three years, and in that time, I’ve seen first-hand how much this couple cares for others. Whenever someone needed help, Cody and Jenny were there without hesitation. Now, it’s our turn to be there for them.
A few months ago, Cody found a painful lump on his chest. After a mammogram and ultrasound, he was diagnosed with gynecomastia. But that was only the beginning. When his primary care provider reviewed his symptoms and lab results, they ordered a brain MRI — and the results changed everything.
The MRI revealed a tumor on the front of Cody’s pituitary gland, pushing into his sinuses. On July 18, 2025, we took him to OHSU, where the specialist confirmed that the tumor is much larger than the pituitary gland itself. It has grown into the bone, pushed through the sinus, and wrapped around his carotid artery.
This is a dangerous and complicated case. While radiation can help in some situations, Cody’s tumor will require surgery — and not just any surgery. This procedure comes with significant risks, including the possibility of stroke, bleeding, or spinal fluid leakage. His surgical team may even need to take fat from his leg to rebuild part of the affected area.
Right now, we’re waiting for Cody to see an OHSU Endocrinologist before the Neurosurgeon can operate. Unfortunately, the earliest appointment is late September, with surgery possible in October. In the meantime, Cody is unable to work, and the medical bills, travel expenses, and rent are piling up.
We are asking for help raising $25,000–$30,000 to cover:
• Medical bills and treatments not fully covered by insurance
• Rent and living expenses while Cody is unable to work
• Travel costs for appointments both local and out of state
Cody and Jenny have given so much to the people around them. They’ve been a source of strength, kindness, and generosity in our community. If you can, please donate whatever you’re able — no amount is too small. Even if you can’t give financially, sharing this page with others will make a huge difference.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Cody and Jenny during this incredibly difficult time.
