Help Cody Attend Johns Hopkins Medicine Program

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Julie Zamarron, and I am trying to help my 15-year-old son, Cody Zamarron, attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Advanced Medicine & Health Care Summer Program at Johns Hopkins University.

Cody has always had a passion to pursue the medical field and has wanted to become a surgeon, specifically a neurosurgeon. Currently, Cody is a sophomore in high school, has taken four medical courses thus far, and will continue taking medical classes for his duration of high school. My son takes his academic education extremely seriously, maintaining a 4.25+ GPA since 6th grade. This past October 2021, Cody was required to take the state-mandated pSAT and preACT. Because of his significant scores, he received a once-in-a-lifetime invitation to attend Johns Hopkins University for their two-week summer program. He will have the opportunity to visit a trauma center, and get up close and personal with real human organs, and the list goes on. Thank you in advance for your contribution. You have no idea how much it means to me to know that Cody is on his way to become a surgeon, and that you all were apart of his journey. My mom-heart is bursting.

Here is a note from my son, Cody:

Hi everyone,
First, I would like to thank you all for taking the time to read and consider this fundraiser. My name is Cody Zamarron and I am so grateful that I was selected for this amazing opportunity. I have always had a love and deep interest in medicine, and having this chance to attend a program at Johns Hopkins is astonishing. In the medical academy, Johns Hopkins University is a top 5 rated school in the country and has been my number one choice to attend since I can remember. I am overwhelmed with excitement because this is a gift that keeps on giving.
Because of the costly expense of this program and travel expenses, with no financial funding provided by my school, I am asking for your help to make my dream a reality. As Derek Shepherd would say, "It's a beautiful day to save lives."
Thank You and God Bless You, Cody J. Zamarron
