Hi! My name is Ashley and I am raising funds for a mother and her son. On December 27th, Tabitha Jones, mother of 4 (Cody, Taylon, Roland, and TJ), while at her 2nd job as a nurse, was notified that her eldest son Cody Mullins had been in a car accident and he was at UT and needed emergency surgery. Cody had been involved in a car accident and had a broken neck. Tabitha rushed to UT not knowing what awaited her. During Cody's surgery, his neck was repaired and the surgeon also discovered that the spinal cord was severely damaged. Currently, Cody is at UT Trauma ICU, unable to move his hands and legs. He has no feeling from his collarbone down to his toes. After having an MRI done and the surgeon noticing more damage, he will be having a 2nd surgery in the morning. The medical team has stated that it is very unlikely that Cody will ever be able to walk again. Cody has been placed on Hi Flo Oxygen due to his increased difficulty breathing. Cody will have a very long road ahead of him physically and emotionally. Cody and Tabitha need all the support they can get. Tabitha needs to be able to get to and from UT for as long as Cody will be there. She will need to continue raising her 3 other sons while being there for Cody full-time. This is just the beginning. In the very near future, Cody will need intense physical therapy, Tabitha will need to be able to provide a handicap-accessible home for Cody, and she will have to be able to take him to and from appointments, often missing work. My hope is to take some of the financial burden off of Tabitha so that she is able to be there and push Cody to his full potential. I am unable to take the emotional burden away, although in helping with some financial stressors, I hope this will help. Cody has so many people praying for him and those prayers are being heard.
