Hi everyone, Our names are Cody & Jawan. We’re asking for help after an unexpected and devastating apartment fire that happened early in the morning on October 20th near Sahara & Grand Canyon. Around 5 AM, Jawan woke up to a flickering light and realized the balcony was on fire. Within moments, the flames spread rapidly and broke through the glass door into the apartment. There was no time to grab anything—no shoes, no belongings—just enough time to get out safely with our dog. Jawan tried to reach for his pet snake, Sam, but the fire had already surrounded the area, and he had to escape for safety. Thankfully, Cody wasn’t home at the time, and the fire department arrived quickly. They were able to put out the fire and incredibly, rescued Sam the snake unharmed. Though we’re beyond grateful everyone is safe, the apartment suffered severe fire and smoke damage, and all of our belongings were destroyed or affected beyond repair. Unfortunately, our renter’s insurance had recently lapsed, leaving us without coverage to replace what was lost or to secure new housing. We’re now trying to rebuild from scratch—find somewhere safe to stay, replace essentials, and recover from the shock of losing so much so suddenly. Any support—financial help, sharing this page, or even just kind words—means the world to us. Every bit helps as we work to get back on our feet and start over after this devastating fire.

  •    Replacing essentials like clothing, furniture, and daily necessities
    •    Food assistance as we recover and get re-established  
   •    Caring for our animals, including vet checkups and supplies for our dog and Sam the snake.
