EDIT: Through the incredible generosity of friends, family, and church family, both through this GoFundMe and through private, direct donations, we have reached our goal! We are so incredibly grateful and blessed. It might sounds cliche, but our hearts are truly full of thankfulness at how quickly our community surrounded us during this time. In just a week, we raised all the funds we needed for the surgery. Truly...thank you, to each and every one of you. Praise God!

We are Cody and Hannah! Married for nearly seven years.
After a series of medical issues, we are humbly asking for donations to help pay for a medically necessary surgery.
In February, Cody had surgery for a hernia.
In March, I had surgery to remove and biopsy a benign polyp.
Meanwhile, I’ve been battling a genetic/autoimmune condition that has been causing issues with multiple systems, including my nervous system, immune system, and vascular system. My nerves are dying and now my veins are damaged as well. I need surgery to destroy the damaged veins in my feet. I’ve been diagnosed with veinous insufficiency, a condition that causes poor blood circulation and can cause serious issues left untreated, including blood clots, deep vein thrombosis, and ulcers that can lead to serious infections and even amputation.
Though insurance has helped with most expenses, they are not covering all of my vein surgeries. Medical expenses have added up and drained our savings over the last several years. We humbly and graciously ask for any help God puts on your heart to give, so that we are able to afford this surgery and hopefully improve my quality of life.
Blessings!
Hannah
A note from Cody: To those willing to help us in this time, I can’t adequately express how grateful I am. Your prayers and financial help are truly appreciated. This season of life for Hannah and I has been some of the most trying and trusting times, yet it has also felt like a season of opportunities to exercise our faith in Christ.
Regardless of the money raised, what stands out to me won’t be the amount, but the undeserved kindness our God has shown through the many beautiful and varied relationships He has placed along our path. Honestly, even if we raise only $12, I can’t help but smile, fully confident that God will provide in ways beyond our frail understanding. To me, the best part is Hannah and I have the privilege of sitting in the front row for it all - popcorn in hand and childlike faith in our hearts. Even if there’s more unplanned surgeries to surprise us this year, or the next, or the next, I’m for it. I'm ready for the endless chances to grow through hardship, truly learning what it means to say, “I trust God”.
In conclusion, I'd like to share these lyrics from Joshua Leventhal’s ‘Upholder’ that have hit so true lately. I hope they will encourage you as well - “If I only trust You while my world's still intact, is that actually trust or some thinly veiled act."
And this reminder from the writer of Hebrews - “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5.
Thank you all. God bless!
