Coda Mountain Academy provides 450+ youth with high caliber summer camps and after-school opportunities in a county riddled with poverty, food insecurity, and an overwhelming opioid crisis. Targeting at risk youth, Coda provides four summer camps and eight after school programs each year which are free or heavily subsidized.
Coda's flagship summer music camp, the Summer Music Festival, has attracted outstanding faculty who hold degrees from top conservatories around the country. Coda also operates two Robotics and Technology Boot Camps and a Kids Music, Art And Drama Camp.
Last year Coda started tutoring academically challenged students with an innovative spy/detective themed program. The program was a big success.
Coda emphasizes personal character development and expects diligence and hard work. It mixes at risk kids with kids from normal home environments to foster friendships and confidence. Helping kids develop who they are as humans is Coda's core mission.
Fayette County has an abundance of families with parents who make poor choices and depend on public support to survive. Coda reaches some of the most challenging students in Fayette County and is making every effort to help the next generation end the cycle by helping kids develop character, positive identity and work skills.
Coda like a lot of charitable organizations struggle to fund their programs. They are especially having issues raising funds for their camps this year. Please consider a donation to this worthwhile organization. Some of our county's youth need your help!
Your donation is tax deductible.
