Help Cocoa Beans Fight Lymphoma
Donation protected

My name is Bryanna, and I’m a Disabled Veteran living on a fixed disability income. Until recently, I managed life well, but a sudden job loss left me with no emergency fund at the worst possible time.
Now, my beloved dog, Cocoa Beans, has been diagnosed with lymphoma, and her treatments are more than I can handle alone.
Who is Cocoa Beans?
Cocoa Beans (affectionately called Beans, Beanie, or Brown Bullet when the zoomies hit) is the heart of our family. Born August 17, 2021, she joined us as a pup on a 15+ hour drive home from West Texas, sleeping peacefully in my lap the whole way.
She’s brilliant, fearless, endlessly loving, and full of energy — obsessed with spiked squeaky balls, laser pointers, and making friends with our neighborhood cats.
At home, she’s the glue of our little pack:
Big brother Bruce Wayne looks after her
Young Mayhem considers Cocoa Beans her mother — they are inseparable
Watching them together is pure joy. Cocoa Beans is the soul of our family, and I can’t imagine life without her.
What we’re facing
Cocoa Beans was recently diagnosed with lymphoma — a form of cancer that requires chemotherapy and vet care to give her a fighting chance.
We await a Banfield Pet Hospital referral to a San Antonio, TX oncology specialist. Treatment is expected to begin soon, and costs will quickly add up.
I am ready to fight for Cocoa Beans with everything I have — but as a Disabled Veteran now on a fixed income after losing my job, I cannot do this alone.
How you can help
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to Cocoa Beans’ medical care:
✅ Chemotherapy visits
✅ Supportive treatments
✅ Medications
Where Your Donation Will Go
We await Cocoa Beans’ referral to an oncology specialist in San Antonio, TX. While we don’t yet have an exact treatment plan, we’ve consulted with her current vet and researched typical lymphoma treatment costs to prepare for what lies ahead.
Below is a projected cost breakdown based on standard protocols (such as the CHOP protocol) for canine lymphoma treatment, supportive care, and monitoring.
Your donation will give Cocoa Beans the best possible chance, covering her chemotherapy, prescriptions, supportive care, and emergency needs.
Item / Estimated Cost (Range)
- Initial oncology consultation ~$150 - $300
- Staging tests (bloodwork, X-rays, ultrasound) ~$400 - $1,000
- Chemotherapy treatments (~12-16 weeks) $3,000 - $5,000+
- Supportive medications (anti-nausea, antibiotics, steroids) $200 - $500
- Follow-up bloodwork and monitoring visits $400 - $800
- Prescription medications (ongoing) $200 - $600/mo
- Emergency visits (potential, not guaranteed) $300 - $800+ (if needed)
- Total estimated cost range: $4,500 - $8,000+
Please note:
The final cost will depend on Cocoa Beans’ exact treatment plan, her response to chemo, and any unexpected complications.
Any unused funds (if any) will be used for follow-up care and to help support other local Veterans or pet owners in need.
Your generosity will help give Cocoa Beans the chance she deserves to keep loving, playing, and caring for her little pack — Bruce, Mayhem, and me.
From the bottom of my heart: thank you.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign. Every share helps us reach more people who might help Cocoa Beans win this fight.
Why this matters
Cocoa Beans has given me more love, joy, and comfort than words can say, primarily through difficult times as a Disabled Veteran. She’s my family, my best friend, and an endless source of light.
Helping her heal would mean the world to me, Bruce, Mayhem, and everyone who loves her. I want to give her many years of play, love, and life.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, donating, and sharing.
