Help Coco Recover (Again )—The Dog With 9 Lives and No Chill
Hi friends, family, kind strangers, and fellow dog lovers—
This is Coco. He’s 10 pounds of chaos wrapped in fluff and somehow the canine version of both an action hero and a magnet for misfortune.
He’s only 4 years old, but in the past two years alone, Coco has:
Eaten his own toe (don’t ask—we’re still traumatized)
Required surgery to remove said toe
Got attacked by a German Shepherd, resulting in another surgery… to remove part of his jaw
Got let out by an evicted neighbor (our door was unlocked thanks to small humans who don’t understand the concept of boundaries)
Disappeared for a month and somehow ended up 5 miles away, covered in injuries that make it look like he hitchhiked on the back of a wild animal??
Lost a bunch of weight and was clearly out there struggling
Miraculously, some actual angels on earth found him, fed him, earned his trust (a feat unto itself), and got him safely back to us late last night.
We are now at the vet trying to assess the damage (again), while Coco tries to convince them he's fine and just wants snacks.
We wouldn’t normally ask, but this little guy has given us enough vet bills to qualify for a punch card, and we could use help covering his most recent care. If you’ve got anything to spare—$5, $20, a dog treat sent telepathically—we’d be endlessly grateful.
Coco is scrappy, weird, stubborn, hilarious, and very much our little disaster. We just want him to be safe, healed, and not starring in any more episodes of “This Should Be a Netflix Documentary.”
Thanks for reading, sharing, or donating. And give your pets an extra squeeze for us today.
— Team Coco
