Help Coco Recover After Dog Attack

Donation protected
At approximately 5:20PM on March 4, 2026, I was outside with my puppy Coco to grab her dog food from my car. Suddenly, Bishop, a Cane Corso, appeared outside. I tried to keep Bishop away from Coco, even moving her to a coworker’s truck for safety. Despite my efforts, Bishop kept trying to get near Coco, and I did my best to stay between them. As I tried to lead Bishop back home, Coco jumped out of the truck bed. That’s when Bishop, along with three other dogs—Athen, Ferrel, and Saint—approached. I tried to move Coco away, but all four dogs started attacking her. I screamed for help and fought to protect Coco, even getting on top of her to shield her from the attack. During the struggle, I was also injured as I tried to get the dogs away from her.

Once the dogs were secured, a witness, rushed us to the veterinary hospital in Angels Camp. Coco had several lacerations on her forehead and was bleeding from multiple dog bites. The vet there advised that Coco needed to be transferred to Standiford Veterinary Hospital in Modesto for specialized care. My father and I rushed her to Modesto, where she had to stay due to her condition. Afterward, my father took me to Mark Twain Hospital for my own injuries, which included a puncture wound on my hand, bruises, and scratches. I reached out to the dog owners, but they have not taken responsibility for their dogs’ actions.

Coco is now facing a long road to recovery, including a CT scan to check her jaw and ongoing veterinary care. The cost of her treatment is overwhelming, and I am doing everything I can to give her the best chance to heal. If you are able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean so much and go directly toward her care. If you can’t donate, sharing this page would help more than you know. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this incredibly hard time. With gratitude and hope.

This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to write. My puppy means the world to me, and right now she’s fighting through a very serious injury. What started as a normal day quickly turned into a heartbreaking situation, and now we are facing overwhelming veterinary bills while trying to save her life.

She’s not just a dog to me — she’s family, my companion, and a little soul that brings so much love and joy into my life. Seeing her in pain has been incredibly difficult, but I’m doing everything I can to give her a chance to heal.

I created this GoFundMe because the cost of her medical care has become more than I can handle alone. If you are able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean so much and go directly toward her treatment and care. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page would help more than you know.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give. Your kindness, prayers, and support truly mean the world to us during this incredibly hard time.

With gratitude and hope ❤️
