Hi, I’m 21 and I’m asking for help to save my cat, Coco.
A few weeks ago, Coco was hit by a car and it was one of the most traumatic experiences I’ve ever been through. He was in respiratory distress and we truly didn’t think he was going to survive.
He suffered severe injuries, including a broken pelvis and a serious hernia. He had to undergo emergency surgery, leaving him with a large incision from his chest all the way down his body, as well as another incision near his leg. He spent weeks at the vets on strong pain relief and multiple medications just to keep him alive.
Coco has been through so much — but he is a fighter.
Despite everything, he is trying to walk, even while in pain. Just a few weeks ago he didn’t trust us at all, but now he’s slowly becoming his affectionate self again.
After being on a catheter for so long, Coco was leaking urine involuntarily. Now, he’s started weeing and pooing on his own again — something that once felt impossible. The vets have said this is an amazing sign and that his overall prognosis is very positive, meaning he has a real chance at a full recovery.
The hardest part now is the cost.
So far, the vet bills have reached around £4,000, and his treatment is not over. He still needs ongoing care, medication, and regular check-ups. I’m currently off work sick with no savings, and I simply cannot afford to continue covering these costs alone.
I have done everything I can to keep Coco alive and get him this far, and I don’t want to give up on him now when he’s finally showing signs of recovery and hope.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean everything to me and will go directly towards Coco’s treatment and recovery. We want our cheeky boy to feel better. ❤️
If you can’t donate, sharing this would help more than you know.
Thank you so much for reading Coco’s story and for any support
