We adopted Coco and Kobe Jr. from a foster home in October of last year. They quickly became part of our family, bringing us endless joy and love. However, on the night of January 22nd, while my husband was away on a business trip, I took them outside alone for a quick walk when they were suddenly attacked by coyotes.
Coco, our sweet girl, managed to slip out of her harness and ran away, while Kobe Jr. tried to escape in the opposite direction but was caught by a coyote. I was able to rescue Kobe Jr., but he sustained severe injuries and had to be rushed to the emergency hospital. Thankfully, his wounds were not life-threatening.
I searched for Coco throughout the night by myself, and with the help of many friends, we finally found her the next afternoon. She had been running for nearly 17 hours, injured and terrified. She suffered deep wounds on her right leg and left side, and due to the hot weather, she was also severely dehydrated.
Both Coco and Kobe Jr. are now recovering, but they still need medical care and emotional support to heal completely. I want to give them the best chance at a happy and safe future, and I need your help.
Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to us. If we exceed our goal, we will donate the extra funds to a rescue dog organization to help other dogs in need.
Thank you for your kindness and support!
