Give Coco a Second Chance at Life

Help Coco Get a Second Chance at Life

On the morning of April 14th, I went out for a normal walk with my dog—never expecting that I would end up rescuing a life. As I approached an intersection, I saw a small dog standing alone in the road. Cars were passing, horns were blaring, and she was seconds away from stumbling into traffic. No one stopped. So I ran across the street and picked her up. The moment I held her, she collapsed into my chest.

Meet Coco

I named her Coco (like coconut) because while she has the cutest big head and the tiniest little body. She’s also a little nutty… in the best way. Despite everything she’s been through, Coco is wiggles when she eats and when I tell her “good girl”, is gentle, calm, incredibly loving, and so, so happy. On the car ride home from the vet, she just laid there peacefully and slept—like she finally felt safe. Her coat is a beautiful caramel color, and her spirit is even more beautiful.

What Coco Has Been Through

When I found her, she had a collar that was so tight it had to be removed immediately. She was malnourished and starving, eating her first meal like she hadn’t eaten in days. She would lower her body when I reached to pet her, as if she expected to be hurt. Then I noticed something more serious—a large incision across her abdomen.

Coco’s Medical Needs

According to the vet, Coco has a vaginal prolapse as a result of multiple breedings. She also has hookworms and is undergoing deworming treatment. She needs surgery, vaccinations, and post-care recovery to heal and thrive. The costs for her care are significant, but every donation will help her get the treatment she deserves.

What Coco Needs Now

To fully recover and have a real chance at a healthy life, Coco needs:
• Continued deworming treatment
• Full vaccinations
• Proper nutrition and recovery care
• Surgery to correct the prolapse
• A safe, loving forever home

What We’re Doing

Right now, Coco is being cared for in a safe environment and quarantined to protect other pets while she heals.

I’ve already covered her initial vet visit and supplies, but the biggest cost ahead is her surgery and continued medical care.

How You Can Help
