Help Coco and David

Hi. This is Karen and Mark. We, like many of you, are friends of Coco and David Holder. As you are likely aware, Coco just went through major heart surgery to replace an aortic valve that was previously replaced 27 years ago. At the same time, they replaced the entire Ascending Aorta to eliminate an aneurysm that was about to burst. Just like you, we are doing some major celebrating that the surgery was so successful! But unfortunately, on the heels of this very risky surgery are huge hospital bills.

We recently found out that because this was a repair of a preexisting condition, their insurance provider is only covering $25,000 of an estimated $167,000 surgery. And, that does not include the cost of the hospital stay before and after the surgery or the myriad of other costs that they will be saddled with.

The pandemic has had a huge impact on many of us. Many people lost their jobs, including David. It has been great that David has been able to be by Coco's side through this surgery and the illness leading up to it. However, this has made the financial burden that much greater.

We are asking you to join us in contributing to a fund to help pay for the portion of the surgery that the insurance company will not. Coco and David are some of the most generous people we know. Any amount you can contribute will help tremendously, and we know they will be deeply grateful beyond measure.
