Help Coach Vic's Battle with Cancer
Donation protected
Coach Vic has coached in the small town of cutler orosi for 20+ years. He started with volunteering the pop Warner league, and is now coaching high school football where he has been the JV head coach for the Orosi cardinals for the past 7 years. Coach Vic has also been the head JV coach for the Orosi Cardinals baseball team for the past 3 years.
At the beginning of the year Coach Vic was rushed to ER on Jan 3rd 2024 due to a severe cellulitis infection, during the 2 week hospital stay with multiple test and lab work done, a mass located in his inner thigh was found and a biopsy was deemed necessary. Drs came with the confirmation that coach vic has Diffuse large b cell lymphoma which needed Chemotherapy treatment asap. Within 72 hours of diagnosis coach vic was receiving Chemotherapy treatment and would need 6 cycle treatments to complete his therapy. Coach vic was able to complete his 6 Chemotherapy cycles at the beginning of May. However since then hes had testing and more imaging done and the results revealed that there is still some activity within the lymph nodes and coach will need more Chemotherapy in the coming weeks. His cancer dr is now talking with specialists in UCSF about his case and we will now need to go get some testing done there for his continued care. Since the end of coach vics Chemotherapy sessions in May he is still having to battle with Cellulitis as has had 2 emergency cellulitis inflammations which have caused days in the hospital. And although we are very grateful for the amount that is covered by his insurance, we are still dealing with out of pocket costs for travel, treatment, medications, hospital visits & stays and medical care. Any help and support your able to give is greatly and truly appreciated as I just want to focus on his care.
We appreciate your prayers, love and support for coach Vic. Thank you from Coach Vic, Maggie and boys.
