Coach Tre Ford is doing something special in Springfield, Virginia — and he needs our help to keep it going. As the founder and head coach of Family Over Fame, Tre runs multiple AAU basketball programs and has built more than an athletic organization. He's created a community — a place where young athletes learn discipline, teamwork, and what it means to put family first. He invests an enormous amount of time and energy into these kids on and off the court. To them, he's not just a coach. He's family.

At a young age, Tre is already making a lasting impact on athletes and families across the area, and he's only getting started. He's actively working toward formalizing Family Over Fame as a nonprofit — because his commitment to this community is long-term. Right now, the floor at his facility has seen a lot of mileage — and after years of hard use, it's time for an upgrade that matches the level of commitment these athletes bring every day.

A quality court gives these athletes a consistent, reliable surface to train on — which directly improves their footwork, agility, and overall performance. More importantly, it allows Coach Tre to run his AAU programs year-round without interruption, giving kids a structured, positive environment to grow in both athletically and personally. For many of these young athletes, this gym is their home away from home. A better floor means more time on the court, more time with a mentor who truly invests in them, and more opportunities to develop the confidence and character that will carry them far beyond basketball.
