Help Coach Tai Fight Cancer — Again
In 2020, I was misdiagnosed for over a year. By the time the truth came out, I was facing stage IV anal squamous cell carcinoma.
I went through chemoradiation alone, without the physical support of friends or family, because COVID restrictions kept us apart. I worked through treatment until chemo-fog made it impossible to keep going.
This year, I got the news I never wanted to hear: it’s back.
The cancer has returned to my lymph nodes. I’m now in six months of chemotherapy, fighting not just for my life, but for my stability.
I’m on medical leave, but my short-term disability payments are low, my last one was only $58 for the week — not even enough to cover a single bill, let alone my copays, prescriptions, and basic living expenses for myself and my family and school is about to start for them. I’ve been pouring what little energy I have into fighting this disease while also trying to keep afloat and have food on the table.
Every dollar you give will go directly to:
Medical bills and copays
Medication and treatment-related costs
Household bills and essentials while I’m unable to work
This is unfortunately the next fight of my life — and I’m asking for your help to make sure I can get through it without losing everything I’ve worked for. I also have an Amazon wish list for chemo related snacks and comforts, in case you'd rather help that way; https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/XUTA0KDLO0UF?ref_=wl_share.
If you can give, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can’t, please share my story with your friends, family, and networks. Every share, every prayer, and every kind word matters.
With Love,
Tai
