Coach Sydney Christophe is the most beloved coach in the AYTTO family. He was an elite athlete and Caribbean table tennis champion. He chose to work with a reduced salary at the school system for AYTTO instead of the high-rate coaching at the clubs. Oftentimes, he voluntarily drives students to tournaments all over the country so they can compete. He is also the leader of the AYTTO coaching staff providing coaching certifications in NY and other states. Recently, he was hospitalized and the doctor told him that he will have to replace a faulty heart vault .He is scheduled to have corrective surgery on February 1st.The recovery will take about two months. While coach Sydney has medical insurance, the procedure requires a very high co-pay of $15,000. AYTTO is doing this fundraising to help our treasured coach Sydney to get over this hump so many underprivileged kids can enjoy table tennis again.
