Help Coach Erin's Family following Car Crash
Donation protected
On February 18th, our Babson Strength and Conditioning Coach, Erin Smith, learned that her Mother and Father had been in a terrible automobile accident. Her parents, Christopher and Christine Smith, were headed home after enjoying a dinner with friends when an oncoming vehicle hit their vehicle head-on, less than a mile away from their Gorham, Maine home. Erin's father tragically passed away at the scene, while her mother suffered broken bones and other serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Erin remembers her father as someone who had a huge passion for sports. He enjoyed coaching his children, playing golf, and cheering on the New England Sports teams. He shared his love for sports with Erin and her two sisters, Julia and Caroline. Beyond sports, Erin's father was known for his unwavering love and support for his family. He shared very close relationships with his wife and daughters, and his loss is unimaginable to his family and those who knew and loved him.
Erin has been a part of Babson Athletics for over a year. She coaches varsity athletes in the weight room and has made a tremendous impact since joining the coaching staff. Her passion and knowledge help athletes build strength and perform their best in their respective sports. This fundraiser is a testament to Erin's ability to connect with her athletes and results from the Babson Athletics community reaching out and wanting to help and support one of their own.
This fundraiser aims to alleviate the financial burden associated with this tragedy. The funds we collect on this page will go directly to Erin and her family to assist in paying funeral expenses, medical expenses, and any additional expenses they may incur.
Any donation is greatly appreciated
