Steve’s story--2017 World University Games Coaching
Master Steve Rosbarsky has been appointed by the National Collegiate Taekwondo Association President, Russell Ahn, to coach the 2017 USA National Collegiate Team at the World University Games in Taipei this August. This is the 4th time Coach Rosbarsky will be a leader of the Collegiate National Team. His first experience came in 2011 at the Shenzhen World University Games. His most recent experience, as Head Coach of the team in 2014, was one in which the team earned the most medals in 8 years. This performance is a major factor in him being asked to once again offer his knowledge and skill to develop the best possible team to represent our country.
This year’s coaching experience will be greatly enhanced as one of our own students, Ms. Abbey Ardiana, has secured her spot on the team and will compete as USA’s Female Featherweight Team Member. Ms. Ardiana is an accomplished athlete who trains diligently, and has found success in the ring through a mix of her dedication to training and her receptiveness to coaching.
Coach Rosbarsky is an insightful, inspired coach. He has a tremendous ability to coach every athlete and student at their level and help them find a path to a higher performance than they may have believed possible. Coach Rosbarsky’s previous National Collegiate coaching experiences has enhanced his ability to contribute to the Montana Taekwondo Community. Coach Rosbarsky is grateful for the opportunities he has been afforded to coach the best collegiate athletes in our country, but he is most excited to act as a conduit from the highest levels of Taekwondo in the world to our hometown athletes.
Sending him on this trip will give our Montana athletes continued ease of access to the best the world of Taekwondo has to offer.
