Six months ago, my world changed when I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease, also known as kidney failure. The news was overwhelming. My body, once full of energy

and strength, was suddenly dependent on dialysis to survive. Three times a week, for hours at a time, I sat in a chair while a machine did the work my kidneys could no longer do. Dialysis kept me alive—but it also reshaped my life in ways I never imagined. It was exhausting, emotionally and physically, and it took a toll on my ability to work, connect with others, and simply live the way I used to.

But even in the darkest moments, there was hope.

That hope came in the form of a living donor—a selfless person who gave me the ultimate gift: a second chance at life. Thanks to this miracle, I recently underwent a successful kidney transplant. While I am beyond grateful for this new beginning, I now face a challenging road to recovery. I will need time to heal, regain strength, and adjust to life post-transplant.

During this time, I won’t be able to work, and unexpected costs from the surgery, medications, follow-up appointments, and everyday living expenses continue to add up.
