Dear Family, Friends and Community,
Former LSU great Coach Alvin Thomas has dedicated many years to serving as a football coach and passionately mentoring the youth in our community. His commitment to these young people has made a profound impact, offering them guidance, support, and a safe space to grow both on and off the field. Recently, during football practice, Coach Alvin experienced a sudden and severe stroke. Remarkably, it was the quick thinking and brave actions of the very children he coaches that saved his life. Their ability to provide immediate aid allowed him to receive the urgent medical attention needed to stabilize his condition.
The mounting medical bills have made this an incredibly challenging time for him and his family. These funds will go toward covering the costs of ongoing medical bills, treatments, therapy, and essential living expenses as he focuses on his recovery with the hope of one day returning to the football field with the players he loves.
