Help Coach Adamson Equip Young Pole Vaulters
Donation protected
Hi! I’m Coach Adamson(Ables), an alumni Texas State Bobcat pole vaulter that decided to follow a career upon education, which led to having the ability to share my knowledge and love for pole vault with the youth in our community.
After teaching and coaching the past 9 years, I stepped away to be a full time mother to our now one year old daughter. However, when track season came around this last January I couldn’t keep myself away and started volunteer coaching to give my students a continued opportunity to be successful and follow their dreams to jump higher heights.
Pole vault is such a unique sport that far and few individuals ever try and if they do it’s rarely with a coach that has experience especially at the middle and high school level. Most athletes must turn to club facilities in order to pursue their pole vaulting dreams due to limited poles at their school, coaching expertise, as well as for safety reasons.
In San Marcos, over 70% of the students come from economically disadvantaged households, which makes it more challenging for a child that is interested in pole vault to have access to the right poles and equipment to be safe and successful.
As a volunteer coach, I hope to raise enough funds to purchase three poles to fill a gap in the series of poles we do currently. The pole vaulters I work with have had a successful track season and are working hard training and competing in summer USATF and AAU track meets striving to reach new heights.
We greatly appreciate your donation in helping this next generation have equal opportunities without the financial strains or barriers that limit their abilities to be successful.
