Many people have asked how they can assist Clyde (Ollie) Hayes after losing his home and the entire contents of his life in a devastating fire on Jan 20th.

My dad has always been a simple man, never asking for help but always offering to help others in any way possible.

He’s not a man that requires very much, so specific needs are hard to figure out.

But the one thing he will need help with is the cost of cleanup and rebuilding when the time comes.

All funds raised will go to figuring out a way to get him back into a home and furnishing that home.

Ollie was medically retired from his trucking career after suffering a debilitating stroke in Jan of 2019.

Last night, he attempted to save his home himself until he realized it was beyond his capabilities and was able to make it out to his truck to safety, where he called 911.

He is a lifelong resident of Sprakers, and 112 Clinton Street was originally his parents’ home. A 1979 Canjo graduate and a dedicated employee to Buanno Trucking Company (BTA), he is truly the guy you could rely on to get things done… might come at some form of personal risk… but he would get it done.

It’s our hope we can get this done for him.
