My name is Clover, and I’m reaching out with hope and urgency for support as I navigate a difficult transition. I’m currently living in an unstable situation that’s severely impacting my physical and mental health. I have complex disabilities, including CPTSD. The stairs in my house are inaccessible due to my illness, forcing me to sleep on the couch, and I’ve received backlash while trying to accommodate my symptoms. I’ve spent weeks researching low-income housing options and trying to access resources, but I’ve faced many hurdles. My income from SSI and SSDI doesn’t meet the minimum requirements for low-income tax credit housing, and most programs require 1-2 months of income proof. I have begun ride-share driving to try and cover the costs of the move as well since I have a car that will allow me to do that type of work. However, the ongoing stress of my current living situation has significantly worsened my health, making it difficult to immediately work at the level I otherwise could. These funds will help cover essential housing and moving costs while I stabilize my health and build consistent income.
