Help Clover Become a Happy Tripod Cat
Donation protected
This is Clover Speakerbox. A traveling gentleman found her on the side of the freeway on Friday, May 25. I went to my local corner store the next day and he happened to be out front with her. I asked if I could meet his kitty, and he told me he found her, that one of her back legs was hurt, and that he knew he couldn’t take care of her. She was scared and skinny. He had dubbed her “Speakerbox” for her tiny but loud little lungs. I asked him if I could help, and he offered to give her to me to make sure she got taken care of. I took her home, and quickly fell in love with her as her confident, curious personality emerged. We decided to call her “Clover” as a nod to the good luck she seems to have, getting picked up by a kind person and brought to the home of people who will fight for her. She is an excellent eater, and despite her leg, she plays and explores just like any other seven week old kitten.
I was able to get her in for a vet appointment to assess her, and the X-rays came back with terrible news. Her right back femur is broken in half, and the bone halves have migrated past each other. The only solution the vet had was to amputate. We’ve gone over this every way we can, and we simply can’t afford her surgery. So we’re coming to you for help. Please consider donating to help us turn our kitten into a happy, healthy tripod cat.
