The Climate Emergency Forum will be attending the UN Climate Change Conference from November 9 to November 20, 2026, in Antalya, Turkey. COP31 is the 31st session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). This conference will occur as the most severe El Nino in living memory will bring record-breaking extreme weather and chaos. It is also the first COP with the recognition that the Earth has now exceeded the Paris temperature target of 1.5°C and getting hotter. The increasing frequency of extreme weather events and the evidence of abrupt climate change has sparked a desire in each one of them to raise public awareness regarding the existential threat to all life on Earth.

The Climate Emergency Forum produces educational YouTube videos (https://www.youtube.com/c/ClimateEmergencyForum) pertaining to various aspects of climate disruption, such as climate science, the Earth's natural systems, climate reports, climate repair, ecosystem degradation, extreme weather events, loss of biodiversity, health, and documentaries on renowned climate scientists. Notable guests have included Dr. James Hansen, Sir David KIng, Dr. Jennifer Francis, Dr. Peter Wadhams, Bill McKibben, Dr. Ye Tao, Dr. Shaun Fitzgerald, Professor Hugh Hunt, Dr. Eliot Jacobson, and Clare Farrell among other respected scientists and activists.

CEF team members have participated in five previous COPs, as well as other climate-related conferences, and have been producing educational videos for over five years. Their collaborative journey began at COP25 in Madrid, Spain, in 2019.

CEF will be at this historic event to broadcast press conferences and interviews with some of the most important activists and policymakers in the world as we have done in past years. The team will not only report and sometimes break news, but by talking with dozens of delegates, asking questions at press conferences and panels every day, the team will challenge COP delegates to act consistently with the true climate emergency that the world faces. They will also have numerous opportunities to attend educational presentations at side events, and hosted by science and country pavillons.

CEF attendees at COP31 will include Paul Beckwith, Herb Simmens, Regina Valdez, Charles Gregoire and Heidi Brault. The team will also be supporting efforts by FacingFuture.earth to produce educational content.

The team's travel expenses will be out-of-pocket, the bulk of which will be airfare and accommodations:

a) Economy airfare from the Eastern US and Canada to Antalya, Turkey

b) Budget accommodations in Antalya's old town.

The climate crisis has had a huge impact on particular regions and nations, and many more will be impacted. CEF's participation in COP 31 will undoubtably help spread public awareness and understanding regarding climate disruption.
