Help Cliff & Janice Rebuild After Hurricanes
Donation protected
This Go fund me is for Cliff & Janice Hale.
If you know them, you know that they love the Lord & love helping people.
They've been married for 55 years and have 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. I am their youngest daughter, Rebecca.
They don't ask for help but right now they need it desperately to help recover from loss and damage done to their home by Helene and Milton, but mainly Milton.
Their home in Punta Gorda, southwest Florida has weathered many hurricanes but the last three really have been the worst.
Hurricane Ian left them with needing a new roof among other significant things damaged & they recovered.
Hurricane Helene flooded their lower portion of their home with about 6 inches of water. They worked tirelessly to get it cleaned out and then when they were just days in and not finished, Hurricane Milton came.
Hurricane Milton flooded Punta Gorda as whole and Mom & Dads home was no exception. Their home sits 6 ft above sea level and has two levels. The entire lower level which contains several rooms was flooded completely along with several feet upstairs being flooded above their beds. If I had to estimate, Their home got along the lines of 10-12 feet of storm surge.
The funds raised here will be used to
-buy commercial dehumidifiers to properly rid the house of moisture as the walls and floors are saturated with ocean water. They will need about 6 in total.
-rent storage unit for their personal items that are able to be salvaged while their house is gutted and rebuilt which is going to take months. From what my brothers Cliff & Jason are seeing, the wooden wall panelling with all need to likely be replaced.
-replace appliances that were flooded and are no longer working
-replace AC units
-furniture damaged-tables, chairs, sofa, mattresses
Im sure I am missing some things, as the days and work progresses I know there will be more.
I am so thankful that God chose these two wonderful people to be my parents. They raised all six of us in this home and every inch of work that needed to be completed, was always done by Dad. As you can imagine, this is so hard but God is so good!
Thank you so much to anyone who chooses to help them out in their desperate time of need. Thank you for being a blessing! We appreciate it so much.
Pray for my parent's strength to carry on and for their health.
They are tired and I'm sure to some degree, discouraged.
