Hello, my name is Siiri. I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend, Cliff Childers, who recently lost his oldest son.

Patrick Lee Childers was only 22 years old when he passed away suddenly. He was a sweet kid who loved to mow the lawn and loved animals, especially cats and dogs. He did have his fair share of health problems. He had moderate autism, intellectual disability, and seizures.

In November of 2025, Patrick was put in a group home under guardianship of DHHS.

Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 Patrick had left his day program for the remainder of the day and when he arrived back to his group home, he told the workers that he had a headache and went to go lay down. Sometime after he went to bed, he passed away. The state police and ambulance were called, and his parents are currently waiting for autopsy results. Cliff and Patrick’s mom, Holly, didn’t lose parental rights over Patrick, so they are legally required to pay for his burial. There have been some hardships with financials, and this death has been unexpected and they are completely devastated.

Every amount you can donate helps, and the proceeds will go towards burial/funeral costs. The estimated full burial costs is close to $11,500, and where Cliff and his family live on a single income, times are really tough right now. They just want to put their boy to rest.
