My name is Kim Wiseman, I am asking for everyone’s help on behalf of my brother Cliff Barker.
On Friday September 26th, my brother Cliff and his wife Fran were involved in a motorcycle accident. They were both life flighted from Glasgow, Ky to Skyline hospital in Nashville, TN. After lots of test Fran was able to go home she has internal and external bruises contusions etc but able to leave.
Cliff on the other hand took the blunt of the injuries with the bike crushing his chest. He had to have surgery to repair four crushed ribs that are now pieced and wired back together and fused. Since then he has not been able to come off intubation also known as a vent or life support. Each time they try either his CO 2 levels are too high or something else is going on.
The Drs. are continuing to try to remove it, but they told Fran it may be another week or better.
The latest update they have pulled him from the meds but his responses are still not where they should be. They have now told her when he comes off the machine if he’s still not responding right he will have an mri to see if he has suffered a stroke or see if something else is going on.
Cliff has been disabled for several years fighting stage 4 COPD during this time he has also battled skin cancer and most recently lung cancer.
When I asked Fran why she wasn’t with Cliff each day I heard tears in her voice and choking up to swallow her pride. She didn’t even have gas money to go back to the hospital, Fran has been there main source of income paying bills and day to day life needs. She had to miss the week before due to Covid.
I have gave them as much as I can spare right now so I’m making this to see if anyone can donate anything at all to help them out with bills gas and food for Fran to be able to stay with him. No one wants to be alone in a situation like this, and it will help with his healing!
please share if you can’t donate! Maybe someone else can help if you can’t!
Cliff and Fran are both good Christian people who are normally the first two inline to help others!
