My name is Chloe Andreas, and I am the daughter of Don Andreas, owner of Clever Girl Winery in downtown Easton. On Friday, October 17, 2025, we experienced an unimaginable tragedy, where our fire sprinkler system was set off by work being done upstairs through no fault of our own. I have been working for my family winery for the five years of being in business, including two grand openings, and seeing my family’s hard work completely devastated is something you don’t entirely recover from.
Right now, we are faced with so much uncertainty - between working with three entities’ insurances (ours, the contractor at fault, and the building owner), loans we took out for the build of the Easton location, and upcoming bills that we can’t even predict coming. Right now, our only income of Clever Girl Winery is through mobile events, as our brick-and-mortar location in Easton has been deemed unfit for human occupancy. It will require complete gutting, which would take at least six months.
I am humbly asking for help on behalf of my dad and my stepmom, the owners of Clever Girl Winery, as we try to cope with this difficult time. We are a small family business, and in our world, we don’t have the luxury where “money is no object.” If you aren’t local enough to support with bottle sales at our events but still want to help, I have set up this fundraiser.
Thank you for your time, and keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this crisis.
