Help Clementine Get the Care She Desperately Needs!

Donation protected
Clementine is the center of my world, and the very best friend of my other dog, Miso Soup. Clementine came into my life on death's door, as her previous owner could no longer care for her. I never intended to keep her, as I already had one beautiful young pup, Miso Soup, and did not need any additional responsibilities as a part time community college student already working two jobs. It was very naive of me to think I would not grow so attached to the dog whose life I was trying to save! For the past few years, she has been in and out of the hospital for mystery illnesses. A few times, she required multiple overnight stays, and I feared that I might lose her. It has been a stressful few years trying to figure out how to keep Clementine healthy between vet visits, and it has proved extremely expensive. We've ruled out many diseases, including Addison's disease, and worked to eliminate allergens and any dietary ingredients that might have been triggering her medical episodes. Yet, still, Clementine experiences devastating allergic & gastrointestinal flare ups which often result in ER stays for gastrointestinal hemorrhaging. This week, Clementine has returned to the ER two separate times to address vomiting with blood and stomach lining, and the bill is astronomical. With a little extra hard work and the occasional generosity of others, I have been able to afford the bare minimum care for Clementine. I am hoping today that you will consider donating to Clementine's care, which includes further diagnostic testing that might finally provide us with some answers. Vet bills prove difficult to afford for almost anyone, but I am in a particularly tricky situation when it comes to affording care for Clementine. At age 16, I dropped out of high school and began to work to support myself. I had been kicked out of my home and began living with friends. Eventually, I was able to obtain my GED and returned to community college, where I not only worked extremely hard in school, but as a landscaper and bakery manager, in hopes that I might someday receive a scholarship to attend a four year university. That dream came true, and I am a university student today, although the circumstances of my background have not changed. I am a low-income student without familial support, maintaining five different part-time jobs on campus to make ends meet. Clementine's recent vet bills threaten the opportunity to make a better life for myself, her, and Miso. If need be, I will further delay my studies and take a break to work full time to afford care for Clementine. I will always pick Clementine over my own ambitions, because love is all there is in this world! I am hoping that I do not have to come to that decision, and I am hoping that you can help. Whether you do it for Clementine, for me, or for her beloved sister Miso Soup, please consider donating to Clementine's care fund today. Regardless, thank you for taking the time to read our story, and feel free to share.
