Hello, we are asking the public for help with our dear sweet Clementine, affectionately known as Clem or Poot. She is a 4-year-old Mini English Bulldog. She is her mama's heart and she needs all the prayers right now.

Before Clem was even a year old, she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that caused her body to attack itself. She would have lesions on her feet, head, face, and also on her privates. She had been back and forth to her vet, and after many skin scrapings and medications to no avail, she was referred to a Veterinarian Dermatologist in Philly. She has been on a regimen of medications and blood work ever since. These medications included steroids that she has taken every day since.

Because of the long-term steroid use, she got a secondary condition called superficial spreading pyoderma over caudal dorsum with early calcinosis cutis. This caused all of her hair and first layers of skin to slough off all over her back, sides, and legs, leaving open wounds. She was immediately tapered off of the steroids. This seemed to be too much for her immune system all at once after being on this medication for years and caused her to have a yucky bladder infection and a UTI. Clem was put on more antibiotics and a pain medication. This threw her liver over the edge and she is now fighting for her life. We are on day two of hospitalization with intravenous medications and fluids. We are hoping that her liver can heal and this can be reversed so we can get our baby back home.
