About a week and a half ago, Clementine quite literally walked into Becky’s life.

This sweet orange girl had been abandoned and had clearly been living outside for some time. Somehow, she found her way to Beck, and the two of them clicked immediately. What started as a stray cat showing up unexpectedly very quickly became clear: Clementine had found her person, and Becky had found her cat.

Unfortunately, just as Clementine was beginning to settle into her new life, she became acutely ill. She started vomiting repeatedly, couldn’t keep food or water down, and became weak and lethargic. Becky took her to the emergency vet, where they discovered that Clementine has a foreign body obstruction and needs emergency surgery.

After everything Clementine has already been through, we want nothing more than to see her get through this and finally have the safe, happy home she found with Becky. But emergency veterinary surgery is incredibly expensive, especially when it comes completely unexpectedly.

Anyone who knows Becky knows what a wonderful friend she is. She is the kind of person who shows up for the people she loves, supports them when they need it, and gives so much of herself to the people and animals in her life. Now we’re hoping we can show up for her.
