MY STORY: A STADIUM, A MISSION, AND A LINE I WOULDN'T CROSS
CleanSlate Solutions is a Black-owned social enterprise in Seattle that I founded to "reset the standard" for stadium staffing and janitorial work while giving real second chances to people coming out of addiction, homelessness, and incarceration.

For years at Lumen Field—home of the Seahawks and a 2026 World Cup host—I worked 7 days a week, often 34 shifts in a row during peak periods, with many weeks where I barely saw my home. I walked an estimated 13–20 miles per day on concrete leading teams, filling gaps, and covering shifts myself; my arches collapsed, and I now live with chronic pain and severe flat feet. I routinely took less pay than I could have, reinvesting into training, safety, and support for a workforce of nearly 100 people, many of whom were rebuilding their lives.

CleanSlate wasn't just a vendor; it was a lifeline. We offered dignified work, support through court dates and treatment, and a community where people felt seen, respected, and expected to rise.

WHAT WENT WRONG: UNETHICAL PRESSURE, DELAYED PAYMENTS, AND A SUDDEN TERMINATION
Despite strong performance and documented staffing at scale for Seahawks, Sounders, concerts, and other major events, our relationship with Aramark—the multinational that controls stadium services—took a dark turn. According to my records and witness accounts, an Aramark manager proposed a kickback-like "fake employee" scheme: I was asked to create a fake worker on payroll, collect cash, and share the benefit. I refused immediately and later followed up in writing and by text, documenting what I understood to be an unlawful and unethical proposal.

After that refusal:
Payments that our small company depended on were delayed for weeks at a time, despite invoices and our obligations being met. I was pressured to accept a new contract on worse terms, including removal of a 10% escalator that Aramark's own template had built into our 2025 agreement.

On April 18, 2025, our contract was abruptly terminated without the 30-day notice required by the written agreement, wiping out over a million dollars in projected 2025 revenue and more than 125,000 staffing hours.

Our lead manager was immediately absorbed into a successor operation, despite contractual protections against employee poaching and about four to six other employees in total. I believe this was retaliation for refusing unethical conduct and insisting that our original contract and rate terms be honored.

THE HUMAN COST: RELAPSE, HOUSING LOSS, AND DEATH
When CleanSlate was shut out of Lumen Field with almost no warning, nearly 100 workers lost stable employment at once.

In sworn and written statements, employees and families describe what happened next:
Multiple people relapsed into substance use after years of sobriety.

Some lost housing and ended up back on the streets or in shelters.

At least one former employee died, including one whose mother directly connects his fatal overdose to losing his job and support through CleanSlate.

Others lost their health coverage and access to critical medications when employment ended.

My own mother was forced out of retirement and back into low-wage fast-food work while I lost my office, exhausted my savings, and faced eviction.

This was not just a business dispute—it dismantled a working model that combined stadium operations with real community impact.

WHAT I'VE ALREADY DONE TO SEEK JUSTICE
I did not rush to the internet. For over a year, I tried to resolve this quietly and professionally.

Steps already taken:
Sent a comprehensive Executive Memorandum and evidence packet (contracts, emails, impact statements, and damages analysis) to Aramark's CEO and full executive leadership in Philadelphia—delivered and signed for on October 25, 2025.

Issued a formal escalation notice on November 13, 2025, warning that, absent meaningful engagement, I would have to turn to regulators, media, and partners.

Received only a minimal, deflecting legal response that ignored the new evidence and suggested they would speak only to an attorney I can no longer afford.

I have prepared filings and documentation for agencies such as the EEOC, DOJ Civil Rights Division, Washington Labor & Industries, and the Washington Attorney General, and I am ready to notify league offices, venue operators, and major clients about serious vendor-ethics concerns unless this is resolved.

But right now, I am out of resources. I cashed out over $20,000 in savings just to survive from April to August.

And in the middle of this, a miracle happened: CleanSlate has been awarded a $4 million public contract in Tacoma—a chance to rebuild jobs and restore lives. I cannot even afford the roughly $4,000 insurance down payment needed to activate it.

WHY I'M ASKING FOR HELP NOW
This campaign is not about revenge; it is about accountability, survival, and rebuilding a proven model of second chances.

Your support will be used for:
1. Legal and Regulatory Action – approx. $20,000–$25,000
Filing fees, record requests, and consulting support to advance complaints to EEOC, DOJ, Washington state agencies, and, if possible, litigation or arbitration to recover damages.

2. Insurance and Compliance for the Tacoma Contract – approx. $10,000–$15,000
Immediate insurance down payment and compliance costs so CleanSlate can actually perform on a $4M contract that will re-employ dozens of at-risk workers.

3. Documentary and Media Work – approx. $20,000–$25,000
Producing a lean, raw documentary centered on worker and family testimony, backed by documents, to be shared with media, NFL/FIFA stakeholders, and the public as attention focuses on Seattle and Lumen Field for the Super Bowl and World Cup.

4. Stabilization and Outreach – approx. $10,000–$20,000
Basic housing and operational stability for me and a small core team while we rebuild, keep records organized, and support workers willing to share their stories or cooperate with investigations.

When a company with documented contracts, strong performance, and nearly 90–100 impacted workers can be pushed out after refusing a suspected kickback, it sends a message to every minority vendor and second-chance employer: stay quiet or lose everything.

Do we tolerate retaliation and unethical conduct in the shadows of the biggest stages in sports—or do we insist on integrity and real accountability?
