Help Clayton Save His Family Home

Desert Storm veteran Clayton Glover has experienced unimaginable loss over the past four years. In 2018, his mother was tragically killed in a freak accident involving an alleged intoxicated driver. After a long and painful battle with her injuries, she eventually passed away due to complications from the accident. The grief from losing his mother was compounded by the isolation and challenges brought on by the COVID pandemic. In 2021, Clayton’s sister Shelly, overwhelmed by her own struggles, took her own life in a heartbreaking and public tragedy that shook their entire community. The emotional toll on Clayton and his father was immense, and I made sure to check on him regularly to offer what support I could. Less than a year later, in 2022, Clayton lost his father—also a veteran and his best friend—to a sudden and mysterious illness. In just four years, Clayton lost his entire immediate family to three separate tragedies, leaving him with a profound sense of loss and very little support.

Through all of this, Clayton has tried to hold himself together, moving into his parents’ home to grieve and find some sense of stability. The love of his life, Marie, who lives in the Philippines, has been his anchor, but due to financial hardship, he hasn’t been able to see her in over two years. As Clayton struggled to cope with his grief, he fell behind on his mortgage payments. Now, he is facing the loss of his family home, with the bank demanding an unrealistic catch-up schedule. Despite everything, Clayton continues to walk a path of faith and is always willing to help others in need. I look at Clay and know I have to try to help—he doesn’t deserve to become another homeless veteran.

I am reaching out to ask for your support in helping Clayton keep his home and find hope again. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference for a veteran who has given so much and now needs our help. Thank you for considering a donation to support Clayton during this incredibly difficult time.
