Clayton Meyer is artist and a craftsman by trade, but his mark on the world has ALWAYS been his kind, generous and creative spirit. He has lived, worked and created in the Altadena area for more than ten years. He is the kind of person who you just love having as a neighbor.
This past week, Clayton lost virtually all his material belongings in the recent Eaton fire. Clayton and his pups, Jed and Tina, are safe, but this setback is overwhelming, so we (his parents, Bonnie and Jon, and siblings) are creating a Go Fund Me opportunity to help him recover from this great, uninsured loss.
Clayton is a sculptor, avid gardener and skilled craftsman, but his hallmark has always been sharing: Building gardens for neighbors; lending his carpenter skills in times of need; always a kind and supportive word; always sharing a unique artist perception of the world based on humor, curiosity and willing stewardship. For the last decade, his passion has been sculpting renditions of rare and endangered animals from sustainable materials.
Clayton Meyer is equally proud as he is creative. This fund is not undertaken as a measure of sympathy for his loss. It is, rather, a positive investment in an exceptionally decent and generous human whose only goal has ALWAYS been spreading good humor and honest wonder at the marvel of Nature’s magnificence. A gift to Clayton is an investment in making the Altadena and the world at large an interesting and creative garden. Any contribution, large or small, will be greatly appreciated and will be used carefully and wisely to ease the financial burden of rebuilding his life and getting back to his work.
