I'm starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my coworker and friend, Stacie, and her incredible son Clayton.
Stacie is one of the kindest, most selfless people I've ever met — always smiling, always helping others, even while quietly carrying the weight of caring for a medically complex child. After learning more about Clayton's condition and the challenges they face, I felt moved to do something to help.
Clayton was born with CPS-1 deficiency, a rare and life-threatening urea cycle disorder. At just 7 months old, he underwent a liver transplant at one of the best pediatric transplant hospitals in the country. His journey has been nothing short of courageous.
Despite constant medical treatments, therapies, and the need for a wheelchair due to neurological impacts, Clayton's spirit continues to shine. He's a beautiful little boy who brings joy to everyone who meets him — and right now, his family urgently needs help getting a wheelchair-accessible van to safely transport him to appointments and allow him to experience more of the world.
My hope is that we can rally around this amazing family and ease just one of the many burdens they carry every day. Every dollar, share, and message of support makes a difference.
