Help Claudia’s Premature Baby Fight For His Life

Hi everyone, Claudia Rivera, an aspiring New York artist, daughter, sister, friend, and now new mother, is in need of support and prayers during one of the most difficult journeys of her life. On August 5th, 2023 due to a life threatening emergency she had to deliver her child at 26 weeks gestation. Her beautiful baby boy, Sol, was born in this world fighting for his life. He is in the NICU hooked up to multiple lines and machines that are helping to aid him in this fight. To make matters more complex he was born with a congenital heart disease which may potentially need to be surgically repaired, once Sol is strong enough.

Claudia whom is a resident of New Jersey has had to make the long trip to Manhattan each day to stay by her baby’s side. She is in need of financial assistance as she cannot work during this difficult time. With mounting medical bills, traveling expenses, and rooming needed, these problems have just added stress to an already dire situation.

Claudia is no stranger to life’s struggles. She is a brca patient whom got a prophylactic double mastectomy 3 years ago, a victim of suicide, and has an at times debilitating mental health disorder. Throughout all of this, Claudia has always held her head high and finds the strength to move forward. Despite always being a fighter, Claudia’s latest fight has proved to be her hardest. She has no control over what happens to her son at this point. All she can do during this time is give love and be by her baby’s side as he endures the fight of his life.
