Help Claudia's hospital and therapy expenses

Hi, this is Denise and Alejandro Montero. We are fundraising on behalf of our dear sister Claudia Montero-Hernandez.

 

We need your kind-hearted support, and here is why

 

On November 2 of 2021, our sister had a terrible car accident. She suffered several injuries, including a broken knee, a broken pelvis, and severe trauma to her left hand. Today, she has had surgeries for each of her broken limbs, and she is still in danger of losing her hand, which means she still needs more surgeries. She will require 4-5 months of physical therapy before returning to work.

 

 

 

 

 

 

As you can imagine, this has been a very stressful period for Claudia, her family, and all of her friends and co-workers. Last December, in 2020, we lost our father to COVID19. He was an anesthesiologist assigned to the ER during the third wave (where he caught it)—the pain of not having him next to us during this time makes all of this even more challenging.

 

We are staying positive and looking into the future; however, the mounting medical debt makes the recovery path even more challenging.

 

Let me tell you a little more about our sister.

 

Claudia is the middle sister and the sunshine of this family; she's just a beautiful soul. Like our father, Claudia always puts others ahead of her. Everywhere she goes, she makes friends, and people like to be around her, especially because she likes to listen and gives from-the-heart advice.

She has been an animal rescuer for more than 15 years.She has rescued dogs, cats and even found a sanctuary for a tortoise. From saving animals from the streets, paying their bills, to finding homes for them, she has done it all. She even has five dogs of her own that she has rescued.

 

 

 

 

When my sister is not working, rescuing new animals, or going to her kid's school activities, she visits Nursing homes where she reads books for them as a volunteer.

 

Claudia is a woman of faith, and she is counting in all of our prayers that everything will be ok. Still, we know that hospital bills, surgery bills, and physical therapies will be very expensive, especially now that she's not going to be able to work.

 

She has the incredible support and love of her husband Robert, and her two stepchildren, who can't wait to have her home.

Hola, somos Denise y Alejandro Montero, y estamos recaudando dinero en nombre de nuestra querida hermana, Claudia Montero-Hernandez. Necesitamos de tu apoyo y este es el motivo:

El 2 de noviembre del 2021, nuestra hermana tuvo un terrible accidente automovilístico. Sufrió varias lesiones, incluyendo una rodilla rota,  fractura de pelvis y traumatismo severo en la mano izquierda. Hasta hoy, ha pasado por cirugías para cada una de sus extremidades fracturadas y todavía está en peligro de perder la mano, lo que significa que requiere de aun más cirugías. Necesitará de cuatro a cinco meses de fisioterapia antes de poder regresar a trabajar.

Como podrán imaginar, este tiempo ha sido muy estresante para Claudia, su familia y todos sus amigos y compañeros de trabajo. En diciembre del año pasado, en el 2020, perdimos a nuestro papá debido al Covid19; fue un anestesiólogo asignado a la sala de emergencias durante la tercera ola, donde contrajo la enfermedad. El dolor de no tenerlo a nuestro lado en estos momentos hace que todo sea aun más difícil. Nos mantenemos positivos y viendo hacia el futuro; sin embargo, la creciente deuda médica hace que el camino hacia su recuperación sea aun mas desafiante.


Déjenos contarles un poco más sobre nuestra hermana:

Claudia es la hermana de en medio y es el rayo de sol de esta familia. Simplemente dicho, es un alma hermosa. Al igual que nuestro padre, Claudia siempre pone a los demás primero. Dondequiera que vaya hace amigos; y a la gente le gusta estar cerca de ella porque le gusta escuchar y dar consejos desde el corazón. 

Ha rescatado animales por más de 15 años... Perros, gatos, e incluso encontró un santuario para una tortuga. Ha hecho de todo, desde rescatar a los animales de la calle y pagar sus tratamientos, hasta encontrarles hogar. De hecho, tiene cinco perros propios que ha rescatado.

Cuando mi hermana no está trabajando o rescatando animales, o en las actividades escolares de sus hijos, va a visitar hogares de ancianos donde les lee libros como voluntaria.
Claudia es una mujer de fe y confía en que con la ayuda de nuestras oraciones, todo estará bien. No obstante, sabemos que las cuentas del hospital, las facturas de las cirugías y las terapias físicas serán muy altas, sobre todo ahora que no podrá trabajar.

Claudia cuenta con el increíble apoyo y amor de su esposo Robert, y el de sus dos hijastros, que están ansiosos por tenerla de regreso en casa.
