Help Claudia Samuda Fight Cancer

Hi, my name is Sydney and I’m fundraising for my high school teacher and mentor, Claudia. She is currently fighting the battle of cancer and is in need of surgery due to the effects of chemo. In addition, she must start radiation following the surgery.

She has dedicated her life to the children of Jamaica and has served as a teacher for 22 years. Her teaching career started at Glenmuir in Claremont for 5 years, Belair in Manchester for 1 year, Charlemont High for 1 year, and finally my alma mater - Hampton for 15 years. She taught a range of subjects and competencies - sociology, history and caribbean studies to name a few. She was a counsellor, club advisor, career advisor, grade coordinator and friend. The impact Claudia made in my life has stayed with me for years, and continues to do so.

She has twin boys as well as a daughter.
