Hi, my name is Lani and I’m fundraising for my friend Claudia.

She is a true warrior and inspiration to anyone she meets.

Claudia has been battling juvenile rheumatoid arthritis for most of her life.

She was diagnosed at the early age of 2.

Now at 40, her body has gone thru a lot. She endures constant pain with progressive joint damage that keeps getting worse over time. It is very difficult for her to get around.

For years she has used a conventional wheelchair and at times a walker. But due to her condition, pushing herself in the wheelchair for short periods of time or even walking very short distances only exacerbates the pain in her arms, hands and legs.

 

Claudia needs a lightweight electric wheelchair that will allow for her independent mobility.

 

Claudia lives on her own in Ensenada, Mexico.

She is a creative artist and baker. She works very hard making beautiful cookies and accessories. However, she doesn’t have the means to purchase one of these chairs all on her own.

 

Please help Claudia get this lightweights wheelchair and regain her mobility and independence.
