We encountered a financial problem when she found out she had an eye problem called keratoconus, a condition of the eye in which the typically rounded cornea bulges outward into a cone shape. She called a specialist to find out how much it would cost her, and they gave us the price of $2,255. I don't have that money to help her because I'm already paying part of her rent, car insurance, and utilities. She's financially struggling because she can't work with her eye problem.
